The existing kitchen, toilet, and bathroom facilities have deteriorated significantly over the years, posing serious sanitation, hygiene, and health risks to the children and staff residing at the shelter. The Need Cracked flooring and walls creating unhygienic conditions across kitchen and washroom areas Damaged plumbing leading to water leakage and wastage Outdated kitchen infrastructure with broken countertops and inadequate food preparation surfaces Poor ventilation causing odour and moisture-related health concerns Inadequate lighting within kitchen and washroom areas Non-functional flush systems and broken fixtures Project Goals Completely renovate the kitchen, toilets, and bathrooms within the orphanage Install child-safe, durable kitchen fixtures and modern cooking infrastructure Improve water efficiency through updated plumbing systems Ensure proper drainage, ventilation, and lighting throughout all facilities Create a clean, safe, and dignified living environment for every child Expected Impact Over 40 children will directly benefit from improved hygiene, sanitation, and nutrition facilities, contributing to better health outcomes, reduced risk of waterborne diseases, and an enhanced overall quality of life at the shelter.
